TOO MANY SUNS: Garden (2018)

Too Many Suns is a band from Lisbon whose members are Hugo Pereira (Guitar/Vocals) and João Cardoso (Drums/back up vocals) and Garden is their first EP. It's hard not to feel captivated by the harmonious mix of sunshine pop and intense and introspective indie rock. The record starts with Garden, the EP's single that conquers us with its mellow guitars and some Real Estate influences. South, begins with supposedly simple chords that reminds us of acoustic grunge of the 90's until the chords blossom in a guitar tempest in which we are caught off guard (and that's alright). Holy Grass is an introspective song with guitars that back up some intimate vocals. Mr.Fibbles and Trainwreck brings us back to the grand times of 90's alternative rock, and to those that lived through that era it's indeed a splash of nostalgia. It's a debut EP that sets itself apart by the production quality, the harmonious interaction between vocals and guitar textures with a lot of riffs that will ensure several spins on our music player.
