Haunted Flesh é o terceiro registo da banda que, anteriormente, havia lançado uma demo em 2018, e Serpent Circle em Maio deste ano. Haunted Flesh são 8 minutos de riffagem selvática, bateria e baixo dinâmicos e vocalizações audaciosas.
Becos pouco alumiados, caveiras com olhos fluorescentes, bares mergulhados na penumbra e imaginários de filmes slasher podem ser uma das muitas reminiscências ao ouvirmos o EP.
Liricamente, os temas fazem pulsar o lado negro do nosso íntimo. Existe também uma resistência activa de rebelião perante as limitações corpóreas e da existência. Em Haunted Flesh, o tema que dá nome ao disco, persiste uma atitude combativa em relação à carne, a este englobado de músculos, ossos e carne que temos por corpo.

Liricamente e melodicamente, Wet Specimens é hardcore punk feroz, despojado de ornamentos e com uma produção “suja” que nos remete para o hardcore puro de bandas underground da década de 80.

Hardcore-Punk joins darker and demolishing landscapes with the quartet Wet Specimens from Albany, NYC. The band plays an hardcore-punk without embellishments that goes straight to the throat.
Haunted Flesh is the third record by the band that previously released a demo in 2018 and Serpent Circle in May of this year. Haunted Flesh is 8 minutes of savage riffs, dynamic bass and drums and dauntless vocals.
Poorly lit alleys, skulls with fluorescent eyes, bars drowned in gloom and slasher films imaginary can be some of the reminiscences while listening to the EP.
Lyrically, the themes make our darker side pulse. There is also an active resistance and rebellion towards our physical and existential limitations. In Haunted Flesh the song that gives its name to the EP, persists a combative attitude towards flesh, the agglomerate of muscles, bones and flesh which we call our body.

Its lyrics and melodies make Wet Specimens a ferocious kind of hardcore-punk, stripped of ornaments and with a "dirty" production that brings us back to the pure and raw hardcore from the 80's.
