Uma das características mais fascinantes da música é a sua capacidade de fusão, seja entre géneros ou entre décadas temporais. RESPONDERS é uma banda de Boston nos EUA que reúne influências de música d’outrora com a frescura da contemporaneidade. Este EP formado por quatro temas traz uma nova dinâmica à cena do indie rock com uma fusão também interessante de géneros, tais como blues, rock puro e até algum funk. Seja pela voz bluesy e ágil de Kelly Bruce que também se encarrega do piano e de alguma percussão ou pelas melodias ritmadas e fluídas das guitarras tocadas por Michael Benjamin e Shane Fitzgerald e as linhas de baixo inspiradas e groovy de Damon Ivester.
O tema que abre este EP que é uma autêntica caixinha de surpresas é Days Gone By que nos revela automaticamente o potencial rockeiro e blues da voz que é suportada por linhas de baixo e guitarras extremamente melódicas e ao mesmo tempo imprevisíveis. One to Blame, começa com um riff de guitarra catchy que floresce num refrão harmonioso. Face Today, tem uma entrada enigmática que dá lugar a uma cativante canção de puro indie rock. A música que encerra o EP, chama-se Him, com as suas guitarras algo jangled e participação do trompete, sublinham a originalidade deste EP de uma banda promissora que apresenta potencial para trazer ainda mais garra e originalidade à cena indie rock.

One of the most interesting features of music is its ability of fusion, between genres or decades of time. RESPONDERS is a band from Boston, USA that mixes influences of past decades music with the freshness of our times. This EP composed by four songs brings a new dynamic to the indie rock scene with an interesting fusion of genres such as blues, pure rock and some funk. That fusion is achieved by the bluesy and agile voice of Kelly Bruce, who also plays the piano and some percussion, by the rhytimical and fluid melodies of the guitars played by Michael Benjamim and Shane Fitzgerald and the inspired and groovy bass lines by Damon Ivester.
The first song of this EP that is an authentic little box of surprises is titled Days Gone by and it shows us the rock n roll and blues leanings of the vocals that are accompanied by lines of bass and guitars that are extremely melodic but unpredictable at the same time. One to Blame starts off with a catchy guitar riff that blossoms in a harmonious chorus. Face Today, has a somewhat of an enigmatic entrance that gives way to a captivating indie rock song. The last song is called HIM and with its jangled guitars and trumpet playing highlight the originality of this EP from a promising band that brings originality and strenght to the indie rock scene.
