Na secção de bandas como Oranssi Pazuzu encaixam-se os finlandeses Onségen Ensemble que auto-descrevem-se leais, regressam sempre à casa que construíram, ao local onde a música é explorada sem limites. Ali, no extremo norte da Finlândia, cabe o misticismo, a dúvida, o inesperado, estados de espírito musicados pelos géneros que tecem ambientes subtilmente sinistros. Vê-se lá ao longe a casa em que se detecta presença humana, possivelmente localizada numa floresta atraente com flora abundante em texturas, digna de um postal de Outono que se escolhe para enviar aos entes queridos no Natal (há ainda quem o faça). Transita-se assim da imagem de um postal para a própria casa com características Hansel and Gretel.
A música da banda é um rico templo para trilhas sonoras instrumentais que desenham histórias em widescreen de imagens extravagantes. Os Onségen Ensemble nasceram em 2004 e lançaram dois mini-cd “Hiukkavaara Sessions” (2005) e “HottoïzzoH“ (2007). O longa de estreia “Awalaï” foi lançado em 2016 e em 2018 o disco “Duel”. "Fear" é o título do novo trabalho produzido pelo renomado Jaime Gomez Arellano, um disco onde grassa uma maior maturidade sónica e que leva para uma natureza filosófica e exploratória.
O tema Stellar mescla post-rock progressivo à la Isis com o tradicionalismo e vanguardismo de Secret Chiefs 3 e instrumentos tradicionais presentes no dark folk e cada vez mais explorados por bandas nórdicas neofolk. Vê-los num auditório romano a céu aberto seria o cenário perfeito para uma noite inolvidável.

In the tradition of bands like Oranssi Pazuzu, the finnish band Onségen Ensemble describe themselves as loyal and always return to the house they built, a place where music is explored without any limitations. There, in the extreme north of Finland, there is a place for mysticism, doubt, and the unexpected that are played and build ambiances that contain a subtle quality of the sinister. We see a house far away where we feel a human presence, it could be located on an attractive forest with abundant flora with several textures, a landscape ideal for an autumn postcard that we choose to send our loved one in Christmas (there are those who still do this). Without knowing we travel from the postcard's image to a house with similar characteristics to the one in the fairy tale of Hansel and Gretel.
The band's music is a rich temple for sound tracks that build landscapes in widescreen composed of extravagant imagery. Onségen Ensemble were born in 2004 and released two mini-albuns called “Hiukkavaara Sessions” (2005) and “HottoïzzoH“ (2007). The LP “Awalaï” was released in 2016 and “Duel” in 2018. "Fear" is the name of their newest work produced by the famed Jaime Gomez Arellano, an album where a sonic maturity is present that leads us to a philosophical and exploratory nature.
The song Stellar mixes progressive post-rock in the vein of Isis with the ethnic tradition of Secret Chiefs 3 and dark folk traditional instruments that have been consistently explored by several nordic bands. To see them live at an outdoors roman amphitheater would be the perfect scenario for an unforgettable night.
