A música com propriedades cinemáticas parece-nos mais presente na música ambiental e até no pós-rock. São criados ambientes e sensações através do som que, mesmo na ausência de imagens, continuam a ser poderosos e imensos.

Há várias camadas de som exploradas e que se imiscuem umas nas outras para criar uma paisagem sonora que nos remete para outras paragens. É escapismo sonoro na sua melhor forma.

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma lança este ano no próximo mês dia 12 o seu último disco de originais pela editora Mexican Summer que já tinha editado trabalhos seus anteriores.

John Also Bennett, Marilu Donavan, Chuck Johnson, Gregg Kowalsky, Mary Lattimore, David Moore, Meara O'Reilly, Jonathan Sielaff, Roger Tellier Craig, e Christopher Tignor são os músicos que colaboram com o multi-instrumentista neste LP.

Há toda uma paisagem sonora habitada por órgão, piano, vibrafone, flauta, sintetizadores e outra miríade de instrumentos que se transfiguram numa meditação delicada e sensível que nos convida a acender o projector da sala de cinema do nosso imaginário.

Palace of Time, Joy e Tracing Back the Radiance são os três temas que nos convidam a esquecer a celeridade da vida moderna e a embarcar numa viagem tranquila e sofisticada.

Cinematic music appears to be present in ambient and post-rock. Landscapes and feelings are created through sound that even though the absence of images remain powerful and intense. 

There are several layers of sound that are explored and blend into each other to create a sonic landscape that makes us travel to other regions. It is sonic escapism at its greater form. 

Jefre Cantu-Ledesma releases this year his latest LP, on 12 July, by the record label Mexican Summer that had already released some of his previous works. 

John Also Bennett, Marilu Donavan, Chuck Johnson, Gregg Kowalsky, Mary Lattimore, David Moore, Meara O'Reilly, Jonathan Sielaff, Roger Tellier Craig and Christopher Tignor are the musicians that collaborate with the multi instrumentalist in this LP. 

There is a large sonic landscape inhabited by organ, piano, vibraphone, flute, synths and a whole array of other musical instruments that compose a delicate and sensitive meditation that allows to light up the projector of our imaginary's movie theater.

Palace of Time, Joy and Tracing Back the Radiance are the three songs that invite us to forget about the rush of modern life and set sail on a tranquil and sophisticated trip.
